Connect Kit to Creator City

A Kit connection turns your active subscriber total into the email district of your city. Creator City reads the total from Kit; you do not enter or edit the number yourself. If you also connect another email service, the city counts each service's total separately, so a person on both lists may be counted twice.

Connect your account

Sign in to Creator City, open Connections from the city menu, and choose Connect next to Kit. Sign in to the Kit account you want to use and approve the connection on Kit's screen. You will return to Creator City when the connection completes. If Kit is marked “Public connection not available yet,” the connection is not available yet.

What Creator City reads

Kit's approval screen grants read and write access to your Kit account. Creator City currently uses that access only to read your Kit account identity and active subscriber count. It does not use the write access.

We save the account ID, name, reported count, sync time, and encrypted connection tokens so the district can update. We do not download your subscriber email addresses, send emails, or change subscribers in Kit.

Disconnect or fix a connection

Open Connections in Creator City and choose Disconnect next to Kit to remove its saved connection and audience total. If an update is delayed, choose Retry sync. If Kit asks you to authorize again, choose Reconnect. You can also remove Creator City from Kit's installed apps.
